What inspired you to start your business?
We are a team of financial advisors that already existed with 52 years experience but we re-branded our company to try to provide brand awareness and better technology to our clients. We will continue to guide our clients on their financial journey and have a focus on a personal and special relationship with each and every client.

How did your business get started?
A Team of Financial Advisors, at MetLife/New England Financial Group, came together under one brand, two office locations in Western Massachusetts and wanted a brand that has an emphasis on navigation. We are completely client-centric and we help guide business owners and families towards their financial goals.

Tell us a little bit about your business.
Mark Vaclavicek has been a Financial Advisor for 30 years in Northampton/Florence. Mark lives in Southampton. He was physically located at the Finck & Perras Insurance Agency for 27 years. We have recently moved out of the Finck & Perras Agency to our own Streetlight Financial office at 8 Main St, Florence MA. Aaron Smith is Mark’s business partner, lives in Westfield and works out of both office locations, Florence and East Longmeadow, MA. The team just brought on Benefits Specialist David McGeary (17 years experience) to join Streetlight Financial. The newly formed business is growing and looking to continue to create meaningful relationships to business owners and families in the area.

What is your favorite thing to do in your business?
By far, our favorite thing to do is help and spend time with our clients. The financial services world is a complicated one. Investments, goals, strategies, insurance and retirement plans all need to be discussed. However, we love more than anything to sit down and speak to our clients one on one. Once we gain a great understand of each and every client, we can best align their investments and insurance to fit their personal needs. The best part, is we get to form life-long and generational relationships with lots of great people.

If nothing else, what is the one piece of information you want someone to know about your business?
I would like to explain what it feels like to do business with Streetlight Financial: Just as if you can picture yourself driving down a road that you thought you were familiar with, but not sure if you are going the right way. If you have had that feeling, you know exactly what I am talking about. When our clients work with us, they get that feeling of, in that instance where you find the landmark, street sign or have that confidence where ‘I know where I am going’. This is the feeling of peace of mind and confidence. That is the feeling our clients get when the work with us. What is the one piece of business advice you would like to share?
Define your goals of what would like/need to accomplish. Ask yourself if you have the confidence and the relationship with any service provider (financial advisor, insurance agent, attorney, payroll company, business consultant etc.) to get your goals accomplished. If you don’t understand something, ask the questions. Be structured with the details but work from big picture, goal oriented and then work your way down to every detail.
