What inspired you to start your business? How did your business get started?
One of the parts of my job as HR Manager for Dr. Hauschka Skin Care that I enjoyed the most was matchmaking – finding the best person for the position and the company. Then by serendipity I helped some friends – one with the hiring process and another with a job search – and had an “aha” moment realizing that this is what I love to do and I’m good at it. So I decided to narrow the focus of my work to do what I love most.
Tell us a little bit about your business: I help organizations and individuals realize their dreams by: Assisting small businesses and non-profits who may be without the resources, time or expertise to hire exceptional team members find their dream employees via recruitment support and coaching with any or all aspects of the hiring process.
Assisting individuals seeking a new job or in need of support during their job search; with support and coaching for any part(s) of the search process they would like assistance with.
What is your favorite thing to do in your business?
I love the satisfaction of helping to create a fantastic job match.
If nothing else, what is the one piece of information you want someone to know about your business?
Bad matches are painful and costly to both the employer and the employee – a small investment of time and money can make a huge long-term positive difference. I offer as much or as little assistance as an organization or individual needs and offer a free consultation to small businesses and non-profits to evaluate how I might be able to help them.
What is the one piece of business advice you would like to share?
It’s important not only to attract and select the best candidates – but also to create a work environment that motivates and retains employees.
